Questions

Kinsta gives you a normal SSH login, so yes — as a manual SSH connection. There's no Kinsta API integration in SiteShift; DevKinsta's push is more convenient for Kinsta-hosted sites.

Static PHP and MySQL binaries start faster, need no daemon and don't compete with your other containers for memory. The trade-off is fewer knobs than a Dockerfile; for WordPress that's rarely the constraint.
